The aim of the UNESCO Chair in Memory, Cultures and Interculturality is to advance education, research, information, documentation and international networking, thus promoting cross-cultural links.
It has three objectives:
- education (through courses, seminars and conferences
- basic research leading to publication
- programmes on the ground at international level.
Its work is centred around three principal themes:
- the foundations of interculturality
- issues in the context of globalisation
- intercultural awareness
